This is a static site. It collects almost nothing.

What this site collects

The site itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, and serves no advertising at launch. Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) are kept by the hosting provider for security and operations.

The newsletter

If you subscribe to the literary mysteries letter, your email address is collected through a form processor and used only to send that newsletter. Signup is single opt-in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you promptly. Your address is never sold or shared for marketing.

Outbound links

Links to bookshops, Project Gutenberg, the Internet Archive, Wikipedia, and other external sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies. Affiliate links are disclosed at /disclosure.

A note on the subject matter

Privacy is also this site's editorial subject. The same instinct that keeps tracking off this site keeps speculation about anonymous authors off it: see the editorial standards.
